The DEA team processes planned and assignment specific DEA license requests for providers as necessary. DEA coordinators partner with Hospital Privilege Coordinators, License Coordinators, and DEA Diversion Offices to assist in obtaining DEA licenses for scheduled or future CompHealth Locum assignments. They are responsible for sending and tracking Power of Attorney forms, building relationships with the Diversion offices, tracking timeframes, submitting address changes, purchasing new DEA licenses and renewing DEA licenses on behalf of the physician. Adheres to division and role standards and company’s core values.
Your role::
Submits the following on behalf of the physician to the applicable DEA diversion: Address changes for DEA licenses, Purchases of new DEA licenses and Renewals of current DEA licenses
Updates status of DEA license in applicable internal database to accurately capture timely progress throughout DEA process
Submits Power of Attorney forms to the Federal DEA office and handles incoming Power of Attorney Forms, sending them to the applicable internal data base for future use
Builds and maintains professional relationships with DEA Diversion Offices, physicians, peers, and cross departmental teams
Communicates effective business cases to diversion offices to influence progress of timelines
Responsible for monitoring new trends and procedures to remain compliant with all State and Federal regulations
Identifies and proactively resolves problems; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner
Encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely mannerCompletes other duties and projects as assigned by management
Actively participate and attend team meetings as applicable
Your qualifications::
One-year previous work experience in an administrative and/or customer service position that involves fast pace team environment that requires decision-making and problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based applications
Professional level written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Adaptable to change while maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions.
Self-motivated with the ability to work as a team player and/or independently and willing to ask for and offer help when needed
Proven time management and prioritization skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
High school education or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of Sales Force software
Accurately types 45 WPM
