Position : HCS Administrative Specialist

Job Description : SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position performs administrative activities supporting the operation of programs primarily within the HCS Department. Duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to; entering and tracking program data; managing billing processes; processing and managing purchases orders; drafting policies and procedures; preparing internal and external reports; and conducting modest research projects.This is a full-time position located in Aberdeen, Washington.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides complex, specialized administrative and technical support.2. Prepares, processes, receives and distributes a variety of reports, statistical data, billing information, Medicaid authorizations and/or other related information.3. With assistance, coordinates or processes administrative activities of assigned programs and provides general assistance, handling routine or specialized department functions or problems and referring complex or difficult issues.4. Maintains a positive relationship with representatives of partner agencies and funders.5. Responds to routine and sensitive requests for information and assistance related to program operation and performance.6. Participates in developing, preparing and tracking a variety of fiscal documents and information which may include budgets, contracts and other related items.7. Participates in monitoring departmental budgets and maintaining related documents.8. Performs a variety of research related to assigned areas of responsibly; compiles findings and makes recommendations based on findings.9. Participates in other CCAP functions as directed.10. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or GED required. A.A. degree preferred.2. Three years of related, progressively responsible office support experience utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and other personal computer software related to the efficient provision of administrative support services in the assigned area.3. Expeience in Medicaid or other insurance billing strongly preferred.4. Skill in prioritizing work assignments.5. Experience reading and interpreting specialized data and information.6. Skill in maintaining records and files.7. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team.8. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to pass and maintain a background check.Position will remain open until filled.
