Job Description : Here’s what you can expect working in Patient Registration:
Working on computers to intake information efficiently. You’ll work across multiple screens collecting details that must be input correctly and sent to lab technicians and radiologists. You should feel comfortable working across multiple programs and typing as quickly as patients can talk in a high-stress environment.
In this environment, you’ll need to be able to be compassionate and empathetic in order to help patients that may be in a high anxiety state in order to obtain accurate information.
While collecting patient and insurance information may seem straightforward, there is a lot of variation in health plans and coverage, that you will learn through comprehensive training.
Collecting patient copays, deductibles, and remaining out-of-pocket residuals.
