Position : Events, Masjid and Volunteer Assistant in Birmingham
Job Description : Key Responsibilities:
Staying in constant contact with volunteers
Organising and attending masjid collections frequently
Organising and attending general events (sponsored walks, mountain climbs etc.)
Maintaining good communication with event participants and volunteers
Essential Requirements:
A full drivers licence
The ability to travel all over UK
The ability to fly in and out the country
Experience in organising events
Experience working within the charity sector
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Other Requirements:
Must be able to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
Must be able to provide a valid DBS certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands; OR Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role
General Expectations:
To undertake all tasks and duties in an effective, efficient, transparent and wholly accountable manner
To demonstrate Muslim Hands’ values and ethics in own working practices, approach and conduct
To support fundraising activities from time to time, including committing to partake in approximately five live TV Appeals during our peak periods
To undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by your Line Manager
To promote and adhere to all Muslim Hands policies, procedures and professional practices
