Part of the larger Punahou Program is The Clarence T.C. Ching PUEO Program at Punahou School. In its 17th year, PUEO provides a 5 week summer learning program to scholars nominated from our partner DOE & Charter schools with unlimited potential and limited economic resources. PUEO embodies the essence of Punahou’s commitment to be a private school serving a larger public purpose. PUEO Scholars are supported with a seven-year academic scholarship from grades 6 – 12. The PUEO summer program promotes academic readiness for the upcoming school year, helping to address the achievement gap associated with an absence of summer learning. PUEO’s mission is to graduate scholars with the skills, confidence and resilience to be college ready. At this date, PUEO is preparing to deliver our summer learning program via small cohorts of in-person learning.
Punahou’s PUEO Program is actively recruiting teachers for the 2022 session. Position Details:
Department: PUEO Program
Status: Seasonal – Summer Session
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Year: June – July 2022
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, Hours may vary depending on course 7:30AM – 3:30PM
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
One (1) year of teaching experience.
Two (2) years of experience in a private or public school setting preferred.
