Job Description : We are currently seeking a qualified geologist to perform automated core sample logging at our facility in Salt Lake City.A successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong grasp of geology and geophysics. The ability and willingness to integrate into other aspects of the organization as needed is crucial.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for logging core samples using a variety of measurement devicesPerforms post-processing of core logging dataPerforms data-entry and digitization tasks as requiredInterfaces with customers regarding job requirements and timelinesIdentifies and troubleshoots errors in data and equipmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in geology or related fieldAbility to lift and move core boxes weighing up to 50 lbsExcellent computer literacy and typing skillsFamiliarity with Google Drive and Gmail suitesExcellent oral/written communication skillsGood team spirit and ability to work well with othersAdditional InformationGeotek Coring, Inc. is a geotechnical service and design company located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
