GCB manages the firm’s relationships with large corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations globally to help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments. TS delivers cash management, trade, liquidity, commercial card and escrow services that resolve the working capital and efficiency challenges treasury professionals face today.

This is a Technical business analyst role within the GIB / GCB Technology team. You will join an inspiring and curious team of business analysts dedicated to define and design one of the core platforms to deliver world-class technology solutions that provides deal lifecycle efficiencies, analytics, business intelligence & controls for the world’s #1 investment banking franchise impacting thousands of users and generating $billions of revenue annually. You’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team from all over the world. We are based predominantly in Houston, NYC and London but also maintain a presence in Mumbai, and the businesses we support span the globe. Travel is not, however, required for this role.
What you will be doing:
As a technical business analyst of our team you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that help advance what we can offer to our clients.

Take a lead in defining and communicating the functional architecture to drive broader reuse of capabilities and functional architecture across various groups
Communicate functional solution design with Architects, engineers, Product Owner and UX. Collaborate with other engineering teams to agree API’s, interactions etc. where required
Play a key role in identifying areas for reuse across UI and functional components
Form close relationships with a wide range of sales bankers across the front office, understand their current needs, predict their future needs and be responsible for deciding how that translates into a cohesive product which you will define
Provide gap analysis between requirements defined by Product Owner and existing functional implementation
Identify and communicate potential business/product impact of engineering initiatives
Become an expert in GIB / GCB architectural approaches and biases as they apply to functional design
We need your expertise:
As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation
Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key.
Solid understanding of Domain Driven Design including context cards and context mapping (internal and external)
Creation of the activity flow diagrams for different use cases, including clearly segregating the functionality based on the context
Mapping functional requirements to components (whether UI, services or data), to enable common solution design across the platform
Engagement with Product Owner to ensure that requirements are sufficiently communicated to enable technical design, estimation and build:
Verification that use cases cover identified flows
Gap analysis of changes required
Functional solution design:
Reuse and extension of existing functionality – identifying functional capability, etc.
Definition of data entities and data sources where required
Functional capability mapping and identification of commonality in requirements (via JIRA) to help development teams identify opportunities for reuse
Creation of user stories with very clear description and greater level of detail including input and output fields, auditable fields, all the use cases (positive and negative) by leveraging techniques like specification by example, Gherkin syntax, or other structured specification approaches
Work closely with Product, UX, Architects and Developers as part of agile
