Job Description
Job Role:
Monitor Site QC Engineer -In-charges operation and activities.
Maintain High quality standards at all project sites ensuring quality culture within the group.
Ensure correct design mix of concrete at all project sites and to check that concreting procedures are followed as per the check list.
Review of supplier’s / contractor’s quality plans w.r.t Purchase order / contract requirements.
Due diligence during selection / prequalification of vendors / materials / new brands and contractors.
Study and Review of Existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Contracts, Specifications, ITP, QEHS manuals, documentation system, QEHS audit reports.
Maintain records of Management Review Meeting; monthly Quality Reports and its method statements, planning schedules of projects and current status, site visits and interaction with staff, contractors, vendors etc.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). Recommend and implement improvements wherever essential.
Review of QA / QC labs, Improvements in Mix designs, Analysis and use of standard deviations, material testing reports, site NCR’s, Checklists, third party inspection reports, contractor and vendor evaluation reports by QA staff if any and site problems related to QA /QC issues, hindrances records, preventive & corrective action reports, cost of reworks records, calibration records, RMC / HMP plants inspection etc.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project QEHS management system.
Prepare and Send Monthly QEHS Report to COO including site critical issues, improvements done, training conducted, good practices followed, NCR status, innovative ideas etc., conduct Monthly QEHS Meetings and QEHS Walks with Project Managers & Engineers.
Briefing of method statements, Root cause analysis, NCR, corrective and preventive actions, internal audit training to selected team members. ISO documentation training to all team members.
To develop and maintain the Quality management methodology including document templates
To be responsible for the delivery of projects, aims and objectives as outlined in the relevant specifications for the assigned project.
To research and remain up to date on developments in project management technologies.
Planning and implementation of internal audits and assessments including controlling of measures.
Ensuring product safety by complying with the processes and methods defined by the departments, as well as the duty to warn if these processes and methods and their results do not meet the legal requirements and the accepted rules of technology
Review and approve material as per project specifications and IS standards.
Investigate the root cause of Non-Conformance and suggest corrective and preventive measures and Coordinate to resolve issues relating to QA & QC of all Sites
Competencies:
Experience in quality management, audits/assessments, process management, project management, milestone system, SAP, QG system, quality management in the project.
Expertise in QM methods & statistical methods.
Good Communication Skills
Should be a concrete technologist with good knowledge about concrete mix design, practical ways of dealing with concrete mixes. Should be able to make good durable concrete.
Knowledge of various concrete production placement methods and establishing a batching plant running the same efficiently.
Should have knowledge of all material testing methods, types of material for various engineering tasks, technical know-how of the use of materials.
Knowledge of IS codes, ASTMs other international codes procedures.
Concrete tests including NDT.
Designing of various concrete mixes practical solutions for deviations in concrete mix results.
Should have good knowledge about start to finish of all building infra works.
Develop innovative ideas solutions wherever possible to improve safety, quality speed of work.
Should demonstrate skills to deliver the product with best quality in time whatever be odds.
Able to implement ISO systems IGBC based construction systems.
Should be able to improve existing systems further by analysing root causes for deviations implementing preventive actions.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
Should be a B.E. or M-Tech in civil engineering. Qualification like Lead Auditor Professional etc will be added advantage.
Should have worked with erecting high-rise towers at least 40 storeys.
Exposure to commercial projects preferred.
