Job Description : Integrated Distribution Services, Inc. (IDS) is a third party distribution company with facilities in SLC, UT and Plainfield, IN. For over fifty years, IDS has delivered a comprehensive mix of supply chain logistics services that includes warehousing, distribution, order fulfillment and transportation services to customers in diverse industries.IDS Fulfillment specializes in order fulfillment for e-commerce, direct sales, retail and start-up companies serving a wide variety of industries as well as excelling in local public and contract warehousing.IDS is seeking an experienced and energetic person as a HR Assistant for our SLC, UT facility. The HR Assistant position plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity and will be responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly payroll (50 employees) and assisting with all Human Resource functions regarding personnel as well as assisting upper management as needed. Must be personable an love to engage with employees.POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential FunctionsResponsible for preparation and processing of weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.Process all payroll deductions and garnishments.Review payroll changes for proper authorization and adherence to payroll policies including Federal / State / Local payroll laws.Maintains all personnel files in HRIS systems.Maintains all personnel tracking spreadsheets (PTO, Turnover, Safety, etc.)Maintains a working relationship with Temporary Agencies to fulfill assigned temporary staffing needs.Assist with the administration of all group benefit and 401(k) plans.Assist with new hire orientations and exit interviews.Assist supervisors/managers with personnel issues related to payroll, attendance, and Paid Time Off (PTO).Maintains and updates bulletin boards monthly.Employee engagement and activities.SECURITY/SAFETYComplies with all company inventory control and security procedures.Complies with all government and company safety rules.EQUIPMENT USEDUtilizes a computer terminal for Payroll, ADP, Human Resource systems, and a variety of supporting software.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHuman Resource and/or Payroll Certification preferred but not required.One to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
