Job Description : Technica LLC is accepting applications for the position of Inventory Manager located at Hill AFB, Utah. This listing is for potential upcoming job openings upon award of contract with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution Services. The positions being advertised will be contingent for hire upon Technica’s contract award.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock including participating in meetings and discussions regarding the inventory accuracy rate, as well as sharing challenges, lessons learned and best practices.
Responsible for all inventory related analysis and reporting requirements, i.e. Risk Control Matrix, root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, and root cause trends for discrepancies.
Develop corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy, monitor and report results of those corrective actions, and provide information to support monthly reporting on inventory actions/outcomes.
Conduct post‐process QC checks to ensure the corrective actions have mitigated further discrepancies in the identified areas.
Participate in large dollar value inventory adjustment reenactments, and other audit sustainment / inventory accuracy events documenting, performing root cause analysis during the reenactment and developing corrective actions plan.
Direct employees engaged in conducting DSS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies, and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance, and location surveys.
Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock in order to meet the Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs)
outlined in the contract.
Plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
Redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
Conduct planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
Ensure work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and conditions of the contract. Use DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
Basic Qualifications:
US Citizen
High school diploma or equivalent
18 years of age
Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position
Valid state driver’s license
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Must have 3-5 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in warehouse operations.
Experience shall include as a minimum three (3) years’ experience in inventory using DSS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
Experience training, coaching, and mentoring
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
Must have excellent skills in written and oral presentations.
Must have capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.
