The receptionist greets patients, answers and operates a multi-line telephone system, schedules appointments, updates necessary personal patient information in the database and performs other duties related to the efficient operation of the doctor’s office. Many of the tasks require independent judgment at a level not requiring constant supervision.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDExperienceOne year clerical experience in a clinic environment is preferred.Required SkillsExcellent computer skills required. Knowledge of medical office procedures and processes helpful.
