Are you interested in working at the intersection of travel, technology, and policy?

Our team sits within Global Trust, Health, and Safety to drive policy across all of Expedia Group’s brands and lines of business. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing policies covering our platform (e.g., features, content).
As the Platform Policy Manager, you will develop policy positions, draft policy documents, and support policy compliance initiatives for the Expedia Group platform. This is a new role within our team; as such, there is an exciting opportunity to build this policy function from the ground up. We are looking for candidates that can identify risks and policy needs within the business, build an internal network of collaborators, advocate for policy creation and adoption, and successfully deliver policies to manage our platform’s capabilities.
This is an opportunity for you to come in and build out the program vision, identify key players, and create the policy roadmap. You will work in concert with policy researchers, operations, enforcement, and other policy managers to ensure that our platform policies align with our team’s broader strategic vision and our marketplace values. Through your work, our team will be able to ensure that Expedia’s platform is backed by objective, fair, and enforceable policies!
What you will do/role & responsibilities:
Own platform policy creation, drafting, and ongoing management. Support team-wide policy strategy and initiatives.
Collaborate with and support operations and enforcement program leads to deliver policy enablement and enforcement mechanisms at scale.
Identify and establish internal partnerships with key stakeholders to build business cases for platform policies.
Build awareness and create policy advocates across Expedia Group for platform policy creation and adoption.
Anticipate and communicate operational risks, challenges, and opportunities within policy.
Who you are:
3+ years experience in technology policy, business strategy, or other related fields.
Strong partnership skills with an ability to earn trust and engage collaborators.
Experience with program and process development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that drive clarity, efficiency, and simplicity.
Practical and pragmatic problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to operate in a mix of independent and collaborative environments, embracing ambiguity, exercising creativity, and delivering results in an organized manner.
