Position : Designer – Graphic Designer COED (Part Time Variable Hours)
Job Description : The Graphic Designer for the department of Community Education and Economic Development (COED) is responsible for the creation, design, and production of original and existing visual graphics for the building and championing of the COED brand, by utilizing passion and knowledge of branding, design and typography. Assists in designing, producing professional layouts and creating printed materials for various uses throughout the division.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one year experience related to class definition or an associate’s degree with three years of experience or any combination of education and experience totaling five years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
Knowledge of graphic design and the creative process.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Skills:
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications, including Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Skill in interpersonal communication, problem-solving and decision-making.
Abilities:
Ability to prepare quality printed promotional/communication materials.
Ability to produce professional illustrations using various mediums.
Ability to use a digital camera.
Ability to develop, maintain, and archive files and records.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of working with higher education groups.
Working knowledge and awareness of brand identity and brand development.
Skills in animation and video programs such as Hype, Animate, After Effects, and Premier are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a normal office environment.

Benefits Summary
You may be eligible to receive a tuition waiver for one class after 6 consecutive months of employment and a minimum of 480 hours worked. Dependents do not qualify for a waiver.
FLSA Non-Exempt
Pay Range $15.74 – $19.67
