Snowbird is looking for a Concierge to join the diverse, energetic and dedicated staff at The Cliff Lodge.What You’ll DoAs a Full-Time, Year-Round Cliff Lodge Guest Services/Concierge at Snowbird you are responsible for providing excellent customer service throughout our guest’s stay by exceeding their expectations and performing all duties in regard to the operation of the Concierge. You will answer questions, make copies and fax information for resort guests. In addition, make reservations, upon request, for dinner, transportation, special events, concerts, tours, etc. You will provide information regarding the resort and surrounding area to the guests.As a Guest Services/Concierge at the Cliff Lodge, you will:Greet owners and guests.Answer the telephone and relay calls to the appropriate party courteously and efficiently.Anticipate and meet guests’ needs. Respond to guests’ requests for reservations.Have an insatiable desire to attain the highest levels of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.Inform guests of hotel services, features and room amenities.Must have excellent guest-relation skills.Interact with guests and customers of the resort in a friendly and accommodating manner.Relate well to coworkers and others in sometimes unstructured situations.Have excellent verbal & written communication skills with guests and co-workers.Have excellent telephone etiquette.Use of simple arithmetic with accuracy.Task-specific training, including computer and typing skills. Computer literate with a typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m.Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision.Require some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.Require some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.Require strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.What You Need to Get the Job DoneHigh school diploma or equivalent skills.Three to six months job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.Successful completion of one to three months of job-specific training.Must be responsible, punctual and great customer service skills.Able to arrive to work on time.21 years of age.A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.Demonstrate patience in stressful situations.Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high-occupancy periods.Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.Must have the ability to work in a flexible and high-volume environment.Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.May experience stress due to consistent high-occupancy levels and weather-related conditions that exist at Snowbird.Work ScheduleSpecific Shift: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.You must be available to work both shifts based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.Shifts may vary from early morning to late evening depending on business level.Year-Round, Full-Time. 5 days a week.Work ConditionsWork is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Hotel Lodge conditions.Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.Able to lift 25 pounds frequently and to stand for long periods.Travel in and around the building is required.May require travel between various buildings at Snowbird.Direct and continuous. Frequent guest contact is required.Must interact with guests and owners directly to ensure that requests are granted to guest satisfaction.Contact with co-workers, supervisors, management, and staff from other departments.Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the role.
