Position : Project Assistant
Job Description : The Project Assistant is an integral part of the Project Management team and plays a key role in organizing, reporting, and providing administrative support to ongoing projects. Successful candidates will be high-energy self-starters with a strong customer service mindset, a desire to develop an understanding of Alsco’s operations, and an interest in honing project management skills. This position reports to the Director of Project Management.
Essential Functions:
Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as reporting, budget updates, and template creation for new projects
Keep records of all project-related information for documentation, clarification and presentation to management
Update project budgets on a monthly basis and ensure that it meets all necessary protocols
Work with Project Managers to prepare monthly reporting for each active project. Update plans and dashboards as required
Actively participate in process improvement discussions and planning with the Project Management team
Collaborate with the whole project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle
Support project managers and team members as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
A four-year college degree is required.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Detail-oriented individual interested in process improvement, change management, and potential project management role in the future.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with smartsheet is a plus.
Position is based on site in Salt Lake City
