Position : Human Resources Administrator

Job Description : The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for performing and completing the following tasks including, but not limited to, processing payroll, coordinating benefits, performing hiring and orientations, maintaining personnel files and answering general questions from employees. Also performs other duties as assigned.
Processes payroll by issuing new time cards, entering employee data into computer, preparing journal entries, printing and sorting checks and distributing checks on a weekly and/or biweekly basis.
Coordinates benefits by enrolling new employees, processing all forms, distributing enrollment packets and other paperwork, preparing proper notifications for terminated employees and providing premium data to payroll department. Handles open enrollment preparation and scheduling of any necessary one on one meetings.
Administers FMLA and STD, LTD as appropriate. Processes any incoming requests for employment verifications or other information by outside agencies. (Child support/Health Insurance Support Orders)
Performs hiring and orientation duties by setting appointments for interviews, background checks, arranging pre-employment drug screens, preparing orientation packets, coordinating orientation meetings with managers, entering new employee data in computer, making presentations to new employees and answering any questions.
Prepares new employee security badges and is responsible for any changes to badges for entrance to building and time clocks.
Coordinates temporary labor as approved by Human Resources Manager and Operations.
Acts as liaison with employees, supervisors and manager’s on attendance disciplinary action as needed and outlined in the policy. Works with every functional area of the organization to maintain a high level of Customer Service.
Responsible for ensuring Communication, Round Table and other meetings are scheduled and stay on track and documented.
Assist with the Personal Performance Review process to ensure all PM&D’s are returned to Human Resources in a timely manner and completed.
Maintains personnel files by filing all corresponding paperwork, researching files for test scores or promotions, noting any change of information in each file and removing terminated employee files.
Assist in coordinating employee events.
Performs other duties by ordering supplies for the company store, maintaining petty cash funds, scheduling office machine maintenance and performing other duties as assigned. Back up to Receptionist on an as needed basis.
