This individual will:Select products and brands to be offered in various outdoor categoriesIdentify gaps in the assortment and onboard new brands and products to fill that spaceAnalyze historical sales data and adjust inventory reorder points to meet demand and minimize stockouts on new and existing productsMaintain positive vendor relationships and resolve vendor issues as they ariseNegotiate terms and discounts with vendorsCreate new SKU’s and write product descriptionsSet pricing strategy across all vendorsCollaborate with the Sales and Marketing departments to educate them on new brands and productsQualifications and Skills: Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Passion for the outdoorsSkills/Knowledge: Excellent computer skills are necessary.Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.Data management and reporting skills.Good understanding of retail mathStrong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with outdoor equipment and its usage.Ability to discuss issues diplomatically.Ability to work quickly and independently.Excellent prioritization skills and ability to focus on priorities first despite squeaky wheels.Great interpersonal skills including the ability to guide coworkers on joint tasks.Instinct for when there are opportunities to renegotiate or improve a program.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Sandy, UT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
