Position : Director of Quality
Job Description : Vitalpax, Inc. is a contract nutraceutical manufacturer located in beautiful La Verkin, UT. We are looking for a Director of Quality who will be responsible for development, maintenance, and implementation of quality systems according to all applicable regulations.Responsibilities and Objectives:Ensuring that the products we manufacture meet and exceed our customer’s expectations and GMP standards.Coordination and management of Quality employees (including self) in fulfilling all quality responsibilities including but not limited to: quality assurance activities, vendor qualification, SSOP verification, raw material approval, quality documentation, SOP management, and applicable employee training.Responsible for heading up certification team for Kosher, Halal, NSF, Organic, etc.Manages CAPA program and leads CAPA team.Reviews batch records and oversees the process to release product from quality hold and provide Certificate of Analysis (COA) for our customers.Assisting Product Development and Sales with development and maintenance of all finished product specifications.Ensures all required quality documentation is created and reviewed in a timely manner.Ensures all records are being kept in accordance to 21 CFR 111 and any other applicable regulation.Guides company through regulatory, third party, and customer audits.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Direct experience and training will also be considered.At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar industry (pharma, nutraceutical, or food) with at least 2 years in a Quality Management position.Training and experience in as many of the following as possible: FSMA, HAACP, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 111, CAPA, SOP writing.Strong analytical and decision-making skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to manage others and work in a team environment.Relocation compensation package can be made available if needed.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Food or Nutraceutical Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)21 CFR 111: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
