Job Description : WAREHOUSE, STOCK CLERK/ORDER PULLERBalkamp, Inc. West Jordan, UtahPRIMARY FUNCTIONS:The primary functions of this job are; process regular orders and special orders for our customers. Orders are pulled via radio frequency equipment and picking slips. The job also requires that incoming merchandise from Receiving, Packaging, Returns, etc. be put in Stock based on time standards or as directed by Department Supervisor. Other primary functions of the job are keeping surplus pulled down as needed, keeping stock sets full, checking for on-hand, on back order parts, and properly filling out customer identification labels.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:Some secondary but essential job functions are; pulling backorder recaps, keeping aisles, locations, and equipment clean, neat, and orderly. To remove old customer labels from shipping containers. To be aware of equipment condition and advise Department Supervisor of needed repairs at once. Must adhere to all safety rules including the understanding and handling of hazardous materials. All other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor.REQUIREMENTS:1. Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers in numeric and alpha-numeric sequence accurately and rapidly for pulling of parts and placing parts in their proper locations.2. Must be able to move product with moving aids designed to move such items including; hand trucks, pulling carts, and pallet jacks.3. Must be able to understand and use R/F equipment and back-up picking slips for pulling customer orders.4. Must maintain production standards in both pulling and stocking. Must keep errors at an acceptable level in both pulling and stocking.5. Must put parts in correct locations.6. Must stock parts in locations neat and orderly.7. Must meet necessary time frame for getting stock up.8. When stocking parts or pulling orders must make sure the packaging is customer acceptable and bar codes are accurate and identifiable.Stock Clerk – Order PullerPage 2 of 29. Must be good at general math.10. Must be physically capable of handling shipping cartons, stock totes, and parts up to 60 lbs. as routine throughout the day.11. Must have physical ability to bend, squat, and reach floor level and overhead shelves for stocking and order pulling as routine throughout the day.12. Must understand and be responsible for packing totes and producing quality that exceeds customer’s expectations.13. Must be capable of working on feet on both the ground level and the grating.14. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.15. Must be on time and keep absenteeism to a minimum.16. Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.17. Must meet job standards, which may change as the equipment and materials allow improvements or necessitate reduction or when additional responsibilities or procedures are added to the department. The production standards currently include the pulling and stocking production in correlation with error ratios in these areas.18. Must be willing to perform all other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor, within and outside the Stock Department as needed.19. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule which could entail 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.20.
