We are currently looking for a Payroll and Invoicing Manager to join our Woodlands, TX office.POSITION OVERVIEW: Payroll and invoicing are critical functions of The Global Edge Consultants. The responsibility of the Payroll and Invoicing Manager is oversight of the Payroll Administrator and of the payroll process for all USA employees and contractors. The Payroll and Invoicing Manager is also responsible for oversight of the Invoicing Administrator and of the creation of invoices for contractors and understanding of the contracts of the clients as they relate to invoicing.REPORTS TO: ControllerRESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Manage Payroll and Invoicing AdministratorsInvestigate and resolve payroll and invoicing discrepanciesRespond to payroll and invoicing inquiries and requestsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, including expense reports, and invoicing cycleReview and approve release of multiple payroll cyclesPerform journal entries, account reconciliations and provide general ledger support for payroll and invoice related accountsOversight of benefit and credit card payables, coding and related reconciliationsEnsure timely application of remittance advices to receivablesMonitor and ensure accounts receivable, identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient paymentsPreparation of monthly reports related to payroll and invoicing KPI’s and tracking and resolution of errors in processingProvide backup for payroll and invoice processingAchieve alignment with HR to ensure accurate benefit processingAssist in the enhancement & maintenance of an efficient and productive accounting functionPerform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time, quite often on short notice, by the VP of Finance, Controller or others in the departmentOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS): Education and Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience required for consideration, preferably in the staffing / recruiting business; including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.Management of team of minimum two direct reports.Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with ADP, QuickBooks and VMS systems a plus.Payroll processing of multiple payroll cycles & global mobility / international experience a plus.PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIESThe ability to demonstrate the following competencies to the described level to include but not limited to:Hands-onExceptional verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentDemonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and confidentiality in communications with all levels of personnel, clients, and outside vendors.Demonstrated success in problem solving with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
