Job Description : Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Assistant for Pulmonary & Allergy Associates, part of Atlantic Medical Group, will assist with performing HIM activities. Applicants need to be flexible with scheduling, which will include a schedule rotation to our various sites.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Scan documents into EPIC following policies and procedures
Responsible for tracking, retrieving, and performing follow-up activities on health records
Send and collate faxes, mail, and emails
Back-up support for front end
Process and follow up with medical records request
Maintain a daily productivity log of scanning and indexing activities provided
Interaction with patients demonstrating PRIDE values
Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree in business administration or healthcare management preferred
Qualifications/Requirements:
2 years as a unit associate, medical office associate, HIM or administrative assistant preferred
Working knowledge of EPIC, Microsoft Office 365 required
Good communication and interpersonal skills required
