If you want to work with the SAFE system in the DCFS State Office, you should apply for this opening. The Division of Child and Family Services is seeking to fill a vacancy on the SAFE Help Desk team. This recruitment is open only to current employees of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the applications of only these employees will be considered for this recruitment. This position is open to telework options. Example of Duties
Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking SAFE assistance
Respond to telephone calls, email, chat and video conference requests for SAFE support from local and remote users
Ensure proper documentation of reported issues
Run reports and monitor common complaints and problems
Identify and suggest improvements to SAFE
Track problems through to resolution
Tests updates to the SAFE system before general distribution
Provide user feedback and training on SAFE use
Preserve and grow your knowledge of SAFE practices and procedures
Train other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
Create, update and revise SAFE training manuals

Requires a valid driver’s license
Use case management software systems

Possess excellent organizational, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly build trusting relationships and gain credibility with users that you support
Ability to compose and produce reports, documents and related material
Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Use Microsoft Office applications
Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
