The Opportunity:
To support our teams in Hong Kong, London and Paris in managing and maintaining regular tasks to ensure quality output for HSBC’s proprietary risk system called Analytics, which is being used across fixed income and multi asset desks. This includes data loads verification, manage accurate analytical calculation and processes and error handling thereof. The candidate will be responsible to build-out new Qbots (quality robot) processes for continued improvements in data quality and automation thereof. The role is designed to proliferate the design and development of new analytical data and tools as required by the business, and acts as key coordinator of related data and systems issues across the wider team.
What you’ll do:
Provide day to day assistance to the ETF business and support the overall business proposition. The role will report to the ETF Operations Manager and will involve liaison with various teams across AMG, the Management Company and service providers in the support of new fund launches, exchange listings and on day to day operational matters, providing specialist ETF operations input.
Help identify areas for improvement and enhancement in process and service delivery capabilities and the introduction of new processes and controls as appropriate to support business growth. This will be done in line with the overall strategy for the Funds and in conjunction with the Management Company to ensure that the service providers are part of this process.
Provide highest quality service levels ensuring regulatory and internal audit standards are achieved at all times.
Serve as liaison between the onshore ETF Operations team and AMG India Infrastructure and Support areas for ETF related operational queries.
Provide assistance to Portfolio Management and Capital Markets teams to address and resolve any identified corporate action, payment, fee, PCF, NAV valuation, primary market, trade and reconciliation issues. Assist with account transition requirements (account openings, transfers, in-specie, fund realignments, etc) with internal/external service providers
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful development and implementation of new products and processes. Employ an improvement mindset to identify and define issues or problems that are less obvious; participate actively and constructively in brainstorming meetings where problems are discussed and/or resolved.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Current and practical knowledge of the Funds Services business, specifically ETFs.
A demonstrable and proven track record of providing operational support to an ETF platform and working within an ETF operating model.
Good communications skills and relationship building, able to work effectively internally and externally with all levels.
Good understanding and knowledge of technology and process management with proven ability to deliver high levels of service to the business and effect solutions for clients.
Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage the details within a fast-paced environment.
Proven and strong project management, analytical, problem solving, verbal and written skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with both clients and colleagues.
Ability to manage relationships with external vendors.
Experience of working within a matrix organization
Equally comfortable working individually or within a team.
What additional skills will be good to have?
Post Graduate Degree in Finance.
ETF lifecycle Knowledge.
