You can read more about ANDE here.Job DescriptionThe Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) is looking for someone passionate about Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) and their role in developing businesses models which create a more sustainable and equitable world.ANDE is recruiting for Program Associate in India.This role is based in Bangalore, on a 18 month contract.Roles and Responsibilities: Perform thorough ecosystem mapping of enterprises, intermediaries and policymakers in the sector across India, with possibility of extension to South and Southeast AsiaAct as PoC with the Funding team for administrative purposesAct as main point of contact by building strong relationships with stakeholders in the spaceWork with the senior management and key contacts to develop strategy by identifying and pursuing new collaboration/partnership opportunitiesPromote proactive engagement, leadership and partnerships on climate action by key stakeholdersCo-develop the climate change engagement and advocacy strategy for ANDE India and South Asia.Provide critical thinking and analysis support to develop ANDE India programming in the sectorHelp connect multi-stakeholder actors towards collaboration and building knowledgeRequirements: 3-5 years of experience in the environment and climate action space, preferably working with entrepreneurs and intermediariesWorking understanding of the small and growing business ecosystem in India, with a willingness to learnExisting network/knowledge of key actors in the climate and environment sector across South AsiaStrong comfort with Microsoft Excel, in particular, using formulas to aggregate and validate dataExperience with conducing analysis combining quantitative and qualitative dataStrong ability to plan and execute complex projectsExperience with entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and/or impact investing in the context of global development.Ability to deal with ambiguity and proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and deliverablesBenefitsExperience working for a global network of organizations in the entrepreneurial and impact investment space in emerging markets.Great opportunity to learn operations skills that are transferable across a variety of sectors.An opportunity to learn and connect with ecosystem actors – including investors, accelerators, corporations and foundations, and learn about the challenges and opportunities of the sector in India.Opportunity to collaborate with staff and members across the globe.Our ValuesThe candidate will self-identify with or even have worked in an environment previously that aligns with ANDE’s Values.
